An Android app can cost Rs 80,000 or Rs 2,000,000. The difference is almost never the developer's rate. It's the number of screens, the rules behind them, and everything the app needs on the server side.
Typical price ranges in 2026
- Simple app (Rs 80,000 to Rs 200,000): a few screens, mostly showing information, maybe a contact form. Often a wrapped website.
- Business app (Rs 200,000 to Rs 600,000): user sign-in, your own data, payments or orders, notifications and an admin panel to manage it.
- Platform (Rs 600,000 and up): two or more sides that talk to each other, like customers and riders, students and teachers, or buyers and sellers, plus live updates and calls.
Our native Android apps start at Rs 220,000 / $2,499.
What drives the cost
The backend
Most apps need a server: accounts, a database, payments, an admin panel. Many quotes leave this out. Ask whether the price includes the server, the admin panel and hosting.
Payments
In Pakistan, customers pay with JazzCash, Easypaisa and bank transfer. Abroad, they pay by card or Google Play. Each method takes time to set up and test, especially checking that a payment is real before you deliver.
Native or cross-platform
Native Android apps (Kotlin) are fast and feel right on every phone. Cross-platform tools can build Android and iPhone together, which saves money if you truly need both on day one. If most of your customers use Android, as they do in Pakistan, start native and add iPhone later.
Updates after launch
Android changes every year, and Google Play has rules you must keep up with. Budget for updates. An app that updates itself, or through the Play Store, saves you a lot of support calls.
How to keep the first version affordable
- List the one job your app must do for a customer. Build that first.
- Skip the extras for version 1: chat, social sharing, complex animations.
- Use a web admin panel for your team instead of a second app.
- Launch, then learn. Real users will tell you what to build next.
Ask for a mockup first
Before you pay for the build, ask to see the app: a clickable mockup you can try on your phone. It's the cheapest moment to change your mind. We make one for free with every quote. Tell us about your app or see what goes into our Android apps.
